  • Do you ever consider the true meaning of wedding vows?
  • This couple celebrated their 60th anniversary in December, and days after, both died within hours of each other.
  • The man had terminal pancreatic cancer, while his wife had COPD.

There's a part in wedding vows that famously states, 'Till death, do us part,' which literally means until one or both partners pass on, they are bound by the agreement. This couple celebrated their 60th anniversary in December, but they both passed on a couple of days later. Peter and Elizabeth Molyneux from the UK experienced illness for years. Unfortunately, while they seemed to be getting better, Peter passed on, and Elizabeth followed shortly after a couple of hours.

The 83-year-old Peter had been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, and his wife suffered from Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Although Elizabeth wasn't seriously ill, she took a turn for the worse after her husband passed on. "My gran had COPD, but we didn't think she was ready to go;, she died just a few hours after grandpa - he was at home, and she was at Whiston Hospital; I don't think they could live without each other," their granddaughter, Katie told Liverpool publication, ECHO.

The granddaughter also added that although Peter and Elizabeth were their grandparents, they referred to them as mother and father and that her grandpa may have been old, but he was young at heart.

"We always called them mother and father even though they're grandparents; they would both do anything for anyone - they were always straight with you whether they were happy or not. Father was still 21 in the head, I think," Katie added.
