From Hollywood after-parties to nuptials: Latest fast-food restaurant to launch wedding catering

• Couples looking to get married in the UK can now serve Popeyes at their wedding.
• The celebrity-approved fried chicken restaurant is launching a wedding catering service.
• The offer will be available from August 2023 till 2024.

One-by-one fast food restaurants are joining the wedding industry by providing packages for couples looking to get married. Not so long ago, a McDonald's franchise in Indonesia launched a wedding catering service that could feed up to 200 people with chicken, cheeseburgers and McNuggets. Now, America's favourite chicken restaurant, Popeyes, is joining McDonalds by launching a wedding catering service in the UK.

The restaurant is offering a wedding service called 'Wings and Rings', and this offer is meant to run from August this year until 2024. To launch their new package, they introduced a competition where one lucky couple can have their wedding catered by Popeyes for up to 150 guests. The couple that wins will also get a free supply of chicken sandwiches for one whole year.

The wedding package will also include hot wings, Southern biscuits and other items available to order. Since the restaurant has a limited presence in the UK, there are terms and conditions that couples will have to observe to get this offer. According to Restaurant, Popeyes says couples need to be within a 30-minute drive of the restaurant or delivery kitchen to guarantee product quality.

This launch won't be the first time Popeyes will be involved in a wedding. In 2008, when Beyoncé and Jay Z got married, they had the restaurant serve their famous Louisiana fried chicken. Popeyes also catered for Floyd Mayweather's birthday party and a Met after-party.
