  • This bride watched her wedding cake being served to a different party group.
  • She says the restaurant couldn't find her cake and took full responsibility for the mistake.
  • To resolve the issue, they gave them a different cake and deducted the cost from their bill.

Restaurant servers usually make mistakes by sending food and drinks to the wrong table. However, the dining customers typically bring it up and let the server know, and the error is fixed with an apology. This bride had a similar experience. However, it was ten times worse, as it wasn't just a wrong order but a botched wedding experience.

The bride said the restaurant served her wedding cake to another group, and the moment it happened, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Taking to TikTok, she posted the first video of herself venting about the restaurant saying, "I don't even know how to explain this. The restaurant that we were at for our wedding dinner gave our wedding cake to somebody else, and I literally watched them cut it in front of me while we were waiting. I just assumed it was somebody else's cake." She continued to say that she told her husband the cake looked familiar. "I was like, that looks a lot like our wedding cake from when his mom and I dropped it off this morning with the matching flowers on top, but there were no flowers on it, so I just thought I was crazy."

She continued, saying that the restaurant probably served the cake to a prom group, and she just sat there thinking it wasn't her cake. She posted another video where she explained that her mother-in-law came outside to call her and her husband as they were having a moment alone to tell them what had just happened. She says her mother-in-law asked for the wedding cake, and they brought out one with the name Jackie on it.

"They couldn't find our cake, and that's when I remembered what I had seen. At this point, the waitress was already in tears." She says it was a devastating moment, but fortunately, she and her family are a good sport and ended up calling her Jackie for the rest of the night.

"The restaurant's reaction to this was to take the cost of the cake and deduct that from our final bill, and we ended up taking home the other group's cake. It was disgusting, and none of us ate it." Users of the platform took to the comment section to express their thoughts, with one who shared a similar story saying, "The same thing happened to my grandparents; my family still refuses to eat at that restaurant three generations later." Another added that the restaurant should be held accountable, "They robbed you of a moment that you cannot get back; remember that in negotiations."
