  • Bride wants bridesmaids to pay for her spa trip.
  • She does not want a bachelorette party, and does not want her bridesmaids at the spa.
  • The bride took to Reddit to explain that her bridesmaids live far away and have kids.

Most brides want to celebrate the joys of being married by hosting their girlfriends and having fun. This includes a bachelorette party or just a mini celebration.

However, one bride-to-be on Reddit has caused a stir with her attitude, saying she doesn't want a bachelorette party but expects her bridesmaids to pay the price for her to enjoy the night before her wedding alone at a luxury spa.

The woman shared her experience anonymously, explaining that none of her bridal party would be allowed at the spa. But, she expects them to give her the money they would have spent on airfare so she can spend it all on her lone pamper day.

"Would going on my 'bachelorette' party by myself be weird? Like, I would ask the girls to pitch the amount of money they would have paid for their flight to get to where I am for me to just spend a weekend pampering myself," the bride says.

"I just have girls that live all over and they have kids, so I just feel like this would be easier and less stressful for me to do it this way."

One user commented: "I hate attending bachelorette parties, but I also would rather just keep my money…It's okay not to have one, but why the heck do I have to pay for your expensive spa?"

"Lordy, lordy, lordy. She could also ask her bridal party to give her the money they would have spent on their gowns, hair, and make-up, and just have them sit in a pew like everyone else," said another.
