The world's favourite first lady Michelle Obama, and America's first Black president, Barack Obama, recently celebrated 30 years of marriage. Taking to social media, the pair penned sweet words to each other, expressing their love in celebration of the last three decades together.
Mr Obama's Instagram post included three images of himself and his wife. The first picture is of him and his wife sitting at the bottom of a rocky mountain at a sandy beach, the second is of their names written inside a sand heart, and the last picture is a throwback of their 1992 wedding day.

As his favourite sweet joke to tell his wife, the former president insisted that between them, he seems to be the only one who is ageing in the caption of the post. "Miche, after 30 years, I'm not sure why you look the same, and I don't. I do know that I won the lottery that day... I couldn't have asked for a better life partner. Happy Anniversary sweetheart!"
Reciprocating the love and energy, the former first lady also shared three snaps of herself and her husband. The first two images are the same as the one her husband posted. However, the last image is a different throwback of their wedding day.

She also captioned the images with her own love note to her husband. "Happy Anniversary to the man I love! These last 30 years have been an adventure, and I'm grateful to have you by my side. Here's to a lifetime together. I love you." Followers of the first lady jumped on the post's comment section to congratulate the couple, with one saying, "Happy Anniversary to my favourite couple. You guys have had the most inspiring and impactful effect on my life, without even knowing it, just by being yourselves. Cheers to the next 30'."
Another added that in the next three decades, she hopes the pair have new family additions. "Happy Anniversary! May your next 30 years be even better, especially when the grandchildren arrive."
