Before the wedding day, the most exciting part for engaged couples is the send-off party, also known as the bachelorette or bachelor party.

The perception is that the party is meant to be a last opportunity for the engaged person to have a wild time before getting hitched.

It includes, as Hollywood movies have taught us, booking a hotel room for yourself and your girls, the bride wearing a pink sash, tequila shots and the all-important stripper who shows up dressed as a police officer.
