Wedding trends aren't always about what's aesthetically pleasing; some trends assist couples in cutting costs. An example would be having a Styrofoam wedding cake for decorative purposes. These 'cakes' come with only one edible slice for the couple, while guests unknowingly receive a store-bought alternative.
The latest trend assisting brides in spending less on dresses is the convertible wedding gown. Instead of changing into a new dress for the reception, these dresses allow the bride to change her look without changing into another dress by simply removing an embroidered detachable piece.

We even create our own luxury fabrics." Katerina said. She then described how sleeves are becoming the focus of a wedding gown by adding little touches.
"Sleeves have been very big this year; there's a lot of embroidery by hand, pearls, lace, and we like to create a combination of different styles and fabric."
