Whether you plan on walking down the aisle in an over-the-top, dramatic gown, a sleek, simplistic dress, or a fashion-forward, one-of-a-kind creation, Vivienne Westwood's 2022 wedding dress collection has got it all.

Speaking to Vogue, the design house's head of bridal and couture, Brigitte Stepputtis, said the collection was approached with "a sense of new beginnings and renewal."

With brides having to scale back weddings during the pandemic, the new year brings with it a thirst for something fresh and freeing. 

"Our brides are free-thinkers and with the 2022 collections they are empowered to sculpt their own look," Brigitte added.

The Vivienne Westwood 2022 offering is made up of three capsules - made-to-order, couture, and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood.

Here's what each one has to offer:

Made-to-order

The made-to-order collection "embodies a sense of new beginnings; transparency in sheer fabrics, transformative elements, and metamorphic three-dimensional silhouettes," the Vivienne Westwood website explains. Gowns in this capsule are described as having an "ethereal quality", with a touch of romance. 

The collection boasts 15 gowns and nine separate styling pieces.

Couture

The couture collection "takes inspiration from influential women from the arts and literature -- from ancient Greece to modern-day heroines."

The gowns marry historical cuts with modern silhouettes.

This exclusive collection is from the Spring-Summer 2022 runway presented in Paris. Available to view through private appointment, the gowns are made-to-measure for each client.
