  • We've seen brides in movies say they would walk back if their future husbands didn't cry as they walked down the aisle.
  • Actor Sara Hyland confirmed she also gave her now husband, Wells Adam, the same ultimatum.
  • The Bachelor in Paradise bartender also shared that he wasn't the only one who shed a tear during the ceremony.

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland got married to Bachelor in Paradise bartender Wells Adams in August this year.

The 32-year-old actor appeared on the Kelly Clarkson Show, and the host and award-winning singer brought up the ultimatum Hyland was rumoured to have given Wells, which she confirmed to be true.

"Is it true that you threatened your husband if he didn't cry, you would walk away?" Kelly asked the actor, to which she responded, "Yes". She then went ahead to explain exactly what she had said to him. "I actually, specifically, verbatim said: 'If I don't see you crying when I walk down the aisle, I'm turning around'."

Fortunately, Wells was able to shed a tear, and the wedding continued.

Wells previously told People that he wasn't the only one who shed a tear on his wedding day as everyone cried during their wedding ceremony.

"There's a picture on my Instagram with me crying, and then Jesse Tyler Ferguson was officiating us, and he was crying. And my best man, who's my brother, was next to me. He was crying, so everyone was crying," Wells says.

Wells also added that his bride looked beautiful that day, and he couldn't believe how lucky and blessed he was. "She looked beautiful. What was going through my mind was this can't be real; this can't be real life. And just how blessed and lucky I am to get to marry my perfect person," he adds.
