Content creation is often a glamorous space where the realities of daily life are suspended in favour of a curated and more palatable reality. 

What is filmed is sometimes so curated that people rent or borrow things for the videos they are filming, where they pretend as though the items are theirs. 

This includes renting homes for more idyllic backgrounds, renting shopping bags to give off the appearance of a luxury shopping spree, or renting sets to make it look like you're travelling by private jet, even when you have nowhere to go.
