Until recently, flying business class on domestic flights within South Africa was a relic reserved for suits leaning back into a few ageing seats on the national carrier.
Although some domestic carriers have slapped business class synonyms on their most expensive pricing tiers, this is mostly to denote things like included changes and a bigger baggage allowance.
But unless they come with a glass of bubbly and a little extra legroom, they're not really offering an elevated level of in-flight class or comfort.
