In the early 2000s, the Corbett family of Tintswalo fame looked to Manyeleti, a private reserve that shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sand, and Timbavati game reserves, to add a safari-centred development to their portfolio.
At the time, and perhaps even now, Manyeleti has somewhat flown under the radar - but for no apparent reason.
With fences dropped between all neighbouring reserves, it shares the same vast, diverse animal population - only with fewer lodges, and thus vehicles, to experience them all.
