AI-generated companions are increasingly becoming a growing trend in different parts of the world, and while they may aid in combating loneliness, they are still not real and could cause more harm than good.

In recent reports, Alicia Framis, a Spanish-Dutch artist, revealed that she is planning to marry an AI hologram called AILex, which was built around the qualities of Framis’s past boyfriends.

According to cyber security expert and SVP Content Strategy and Evangelist at KnowBe4 Anna Collard, relationships between humans and AI-generated chatbots or robots may have benefits, but they can be harmful as well.
