A viral trend has taken various social media platforms by storm, known as the 'Get To Know Me' trend, and cyber security experts are concerned that users could unintentionally reveal answers to security questions.

The trend, which gained popularity on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube around 2021, has amassed over 530 000 posts on TikTok and more than 460 000 on Instagram.

Users record short clips in which they share their personal details, including their name, age, height, gender identity, where they live, favourite sports, occupation, favourite season, favourite food, favourite animal and more.
