Melatonin

Melatonin plays an important role in your ability to get to sleep and stay asleep, advises ResMed sleep expert Dr Carmel Harrington. If you're not producing enough melatonin, it can impact your overall energy levels. Bright lights and watching screens late at night can inhibit melatonin production, leaving you feeling flat, foggy-headed and fatigued.

Implement good sleep habits to get your melatonin mojo back. Sleep and wake up at the same time every day, switch off devices an hour before bedtime, dim the lights, and limit caffeine and alcohol.
