Quitting smoking is proven to enhance quality of life and reduce the risk of early death, and a large US study suggests that age 35 might be the optimal age to kick the butt.

The findings, published this month in the journal JAMA Network Open, reveal that cigarette smokers who quit before this age had death rates very close to those of so-called "never smokers" (people who smoked fewer than 100 cigarettes in their lifetimes).
