Puma has partnered with the Frida Kahlo Corporation and OEG Latino to launch the epic Puma x Frida Kahlo collection.
The German sportswear brand says the new collection, in honour of the iconic Mexican painter, elevates style and purpose through technical designs and powerful mantras.
"Frida’s artwork and culture illustrate a story of female empowerment and independence, and her passion continues to move us forward," it says.
Key pieces in the running and training collection include:
Run XX Nitro Frida Kahlo
A woman’s foot is unique, yet the running market has ignored this and amended men’s footwear to “fit” women instead.
Puma is taking a stand with the first running shoe built on a woman’s foot shape.
Aptly timed to their Frida Kahlo collaboration, the groundbreaking Run XX Nitro Frida Kahlo features a female-specific narrower heel, sculpted arch, and lower instep.

But a tailored fit wasn’t enough: "We incorporated a Nitro foam midsole—the perfect balance of durable and lightweight cushioning—and a bold floral printed RunGuide support rail to promote proper alignment and increased stability for longer distances," says the company.
Key benefits include:
Cushioning: Advanced Nitro foam technology provides superior responsiveness and cushioning in a lightweight package.
Stability: RunGuide, a firm density rim, promotes proper alignment and keeps the foot centred through each stride.
Grip: PumaGrip, a durable rubber compound, provides multi-surface traction.
Fit: A midsole engineered specifically for the female form.
Puma X Frida Kahlo Crop Top Bra
An open back with delicately woven crisscross elastic is a standout feature of the Puma x Frida Kahlo Crop Bra.
The front has beautifully placed floral graphics climbing the sides and contrast stitching accents.
