AdVini is a French Company that has invested in five South African wine farms since 2012.
And when I say invested, I mean they own L'Avenir, Le Bonheur, Ken Forrester Vineyards, Kleine Zalze, and Stellenbosch Vineyards. Yes. We've long been saying that South African wines are undervalued internationally. We produce comparable quality wines to some of the international greats, and yet, still often have to explain where South Africa lies on a map and that we do not, in fact, ride to school on elephants. (Though the whole tigers-on-the-loose situation does muddy the water a bit.)
We also still struggle to charge internationally competitive prices for these wines. Thus the potential gain of turning this around is immense, and the reason it would make sense for an international company like AdVini to take up the cause.
