Joseph Dhafana has lived in South Africa for 15 years, a Zimbabwean refugee turned winemaker and wine judge.
Last year, he starred alongside countrymen Marlvin Gwese, Tinashe Nyamudoka, and Pardon Taguzu in the critically acclaimed documentary Blind Ambition, following the journey of four aspiring Sommeliers to the World Blind Wine Tasting Championships in France, representing Zimbabwe for the first time. It's Cool Runnings for wine and a story about never giving up.
Joseph came to Cape Town on the Shosholoza train from Johannesburg in 2008, which still cost R195 and lasted 28 hours.
