The Methodist Church in Jeffreys Bay, on the corner of Da Gama Road and Petunia Avenue, hosted a fundraiser fashion show with a twist on Wednesday, May 17.

All in attendance were enthralled by the lovely models, dressed in clothes from Milady’s in Fountains Mall. There were outfits that ranged from winter fashions all the way to evening wear, modelled perfectly to the tune of 60s to 80s’ music.

The surprise of the day was when the models emerged dressed in authentic cultural clothing that represented different countries; this was especially beautiful as Margaret Crouse, the host and organiser of this event, described the cultural significance of each outfit. The guests were even treated to an appearance by reverend Anthony Sutton, who was dressed in Scottish attire and played the bagpipes.

All in attendance spent the afternoon enjoying a lovely tea and were later gifted with raffle prizes and giveaways.

The funds raised from this event will go towards the church’s efforts to provide groceries and needed items for the less fortunate.
