A 39-year-old woman from Paradise Beach, Jeffreys Bay who allegedly failed to report to authorities that her 17-year-old daughter had been raped by her father and half-brother, appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court on September 26 where she abandoned her bail bid.
She was arrested on September 15 on charges of Accessory after the fact, obstruction and defeating the ends of justice and failure to report sexual violation of children (Act 32 Sec 54 of 2007).
The woman first appeared in court on September 19 and then again on September 26 for her formal bail application.

According to police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, the woman has abandoned her bail application and the case was postponed to October 19.
She will be appearing in court on the same day as her 55-year-old husband and 19-year-old son who were arrested earlier this month on charges of rape and sexual grooming of the teenage girl, who is also his daughter.
