The site pastor of Father’s House Jeffreys Bay (FH JBay), Lloyd Dillon, is passionate about community and connection in the heart of Kouga.

Situated just behind the Billabong factory shop in Jeffreys Street, FH JBay was able to turn a disused warehouse into a church, much like the story of FH Mandela Bay. The community has grown steadily since.

With strong belief in authentic connection, the team decided that it was time to share stories of people in the community to avoid getting stuck in an academic experience of faith.

These are real-life stories from ordinary people, who can attest to God’s extraordinary power at work in their lives that reveals an intimate experience with faith. These stories of people in the community will be available to view on all Father’s House Church platforms.

You cannot have church without community. We are by nature a body of believers together who share a common goal and vision, so for us being in community with one another in a local church, and as a group of local churches together in the town, is crucial to having a significant impact in the spaces God has called us to serve.
Pastor Dillon

The goal is to build relationships with other local church leaders and ministry organisations in the town, and to see that they grow into greater collaboration with more community outreach initiatives taking place.

With hope to develop a Work for a Living centre in 2024 at the venue in Jeffreys Bay, for example, Dillon is excited to see how this programme will help the community by taking unemployed people and equipping them with the skills and tools needed to find employment in the workplace and begin contributing to their families and the local economy.
