The names of the five men who died on Saturday, 30 March, in a head-on-collision between a VW Polo and a VW Tiguan on the N14 near Keimoes in the Northern Cape, have been released.
The four deceased who were occupants of the VW Polo are Jacqwill Petrus, Ethan Daniels, Deon Brandt, and Lawrence Kordom - all Kakamas residents.
A citizen from South Korea, known as Yuanyi Wanj, was travelling in the VW Tiguan and died on the scene.
The deceased were aged 18 to 50 years old.
The other three occupants of the VW Tiguan, also from South Korea, sustained serious injuries. They have been transferred from a hospital in Upington to a hospital in Kimberley, said Lt. Col Sergio Kock, police spokesperson.
The accident happened at about 17:45 on Saturday.
