The cost-conscious traveller who is searching for accommodation in the vicinity of Upington, with affordability, comfort, and safety in mind, need not look further than SleepOver Upington.
This brand-new site of SleepOver – its tenth in South Africa – is situated approximately 10 km outside Upington, next to the N14, in the direction of Olifantshoek.
Travellers on their way to or from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Richtersveld, Augrabies Falls, or the Namaqualand, can feel at home in these en-suite units.
Offering 30 solitary units, each with an own entrance and patio, SleepOver Upington is also the perfect overnight stop for groups.
In the comfort provided by an efficient air-conditioning system, serviced through solar power, the traveller can finalise arrangements for the next leg of the journey, or business travellers can do the last touches on a report.
Units are available with two single beds or a double bed. There is also the option of a family room, with children under 12 years of age making use of two single pull-out beds.
The offering of a workstation, coffee and tea tray, bar fridge and free WiFi in each unit, combined with braai facilities, safe parking, as well as a shop and restaurant on site, contribute to further comfort.
Meals are available on an à la carte basis, and buffet style meals can be prepared on prior notice.
Trade rates are available for registered tour operators and special groups.

SleepOver, an increasingly popular accommodation chain, is rapidly transforming the South African tourism landscape by offering guests exactly what they need at an unprecedented low room rate.
Its first international site will be launched in Mauritius later this year, and SleepOver has established five similar sites in the vicinity of the Kruger National Park.
The first to launch was at the Lanseria Airport in November 2019. The other sites are at Beitbridge, Komatipoort, Moria and Matoks.
An additional 60 sites are planned over the next ten years throughout Africa.
SleepOver is committed to a sustainable future, and visitors will also find an ePowa electric vehicle charging station at each site, in addition to gardens landscaped with indigenous plants.
As part of SleepOver’s launch special, the rate of R850 per room is reduced to R680.
