Emergency simulation exercise at Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport

will be conducting a mandatory licensing emergency exercise on Thursday, 4 May.

"The full-scale exercise is aimed to test the response preparedness of the airport staff and internal and external emergency services to an airport emergency, disaster, or crisis," the airport said in a statement.

Airport users and passengers are urged not to be alarmed as this forms part of the exercise. 

"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused."
