EP Media wins Media24 award

Ep Media, publisher of PE Express and its sister publications in the Eastern Cape, won the award in the Community News division of the Media24 Awards.

The gala event was held near Stellenbosch at Johannesdal 1207 recently.

Minette Ferreira, general manager of Community News and Lifestyle at Media24, handed the award to Bettie Giliomee-Rossouw, general manager of EP Media.

Ferreira said that EP Media truly personifies the story of the little engine that could – never giving up, despite operating in a region beset by untold economic hardship and socio-economic challenges.

“For EP Media to beat revenue targets, as well as our trading profit target, in a tough economic climate, with the increase in fuel prices and printing costs, is a phenomenal achievement for the team,” said Giliomee-Rossouw.

“Everyone in the team, from those in Gqeberha, Jeffreys Bay and Kariega, to our team in Mthatha, contributed to these results and I am very proud of each and every one of them,” said Giliomee-Rossouw.
