Kwazakele: Woman nabbed for fatally stabbing boyfriend

A Gqeberha woman was arrested shortly after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend on Sunday, March 10 in Kwazakele.

In a statement released by SAPS, Police Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg stated that at approximately 02:00, members of SAPS Kwazakele were conducting patrols in Mbulele Street, Soweto on Sea when they were approached by the suspect.

"She informed them that she fatally stabbed her boyfriend Phulelele Sola (56). 

" The deceased was found in the bedroom on the bed with a stab wound to the left upper leg.

"The deceased was stabbed with a broken bottle," said Janse Van Rensburg.

"The woman was arrested on charges of murder and will appear in the New Brighton magistrate court, today, March 12."
