In the court proceedings, State Prosecutor, Melani Hammett revealed that Baartman had forfeited his bail,
She further said Baartman's legal representative, Qhamni Sinefu, was absent from court.
Hammett proposed a postponement of the matter to Wednesday, March 27, for further investigation.
During the court proceedings, Baartman wore a red t-shirt and black pants, and maintained a composed and neutral demeanor.
In the courtroom audience, Baartman's son and brother attended the court proceedings.
