Michelé Potgieter’s mouthwatering macaroni and cheese
Ingredients
- 1 packet macaroni (cooked)
- 2 cups (500 ml) milk
- 1 tbsp salt
- 6 eggs (beaten)
- 2 cups cheese (grated)
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 8 slices salami
- 1 large packet smoked beef chips
- Salt and pepper
- Tomato (sliced)
Preparation
Step1: Beat milk, salt, eggs and 1 cup cheese.
Step 2: Mix into macaroni.
Step 3: Chop salami and add to mixture.
Step 4: Pour into a greased oven dish.
Step 5: Place thinly sliced tomato on top.
Step 6: Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 7: Finely crush chips over and then sprinkle with cheese.
Step 8: Dot with margarine.
Step 9: Bake for 30 minutes at 180 °C until set.
