Sherri’s bacon and spinach pasta
Ingredients
- 1 bunch spinach, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 packet bacon, chopped
- 2 large chicken breasts, cubed (optional)
- 1 packet pasta (any kind)
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- ½ green pepper, chopped finely
- 500 ml fresh cream
- ½ cup white wine
- ½ punnet button mushrooms
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1: Cook pasta in 1 tbsp olive oil, salt and boiling water. Rinse.
Steo 2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan.
Step 3: Fry garlic, onion and green pepper until almost done.
Step 4: Add chicken, bacon and mushrooms and brown.
Step 5: Add the spinach, wine, cream, salt and pepper.
Step 6: Add the pasta and cook until cream thickens.
Step 7: Serve with French bread or salad.
