Wentworth Miller might make it look easy on the popular American serial drama television series, Prison Break, but there's absolutely nothing easy about solving the riddles to finally break free from the Breakout Quest jail cell at the Boardwalk Mall in Summerstrand.
If scary voices, blindfolds and handcuffs, followed by a series of riddles are your thing, then the Breakout Quest will be heaven for you.
Safe enough to be played by persons as young as four-years-old, the Breakout Quest provides an hour filled with fun and tons of thinking out of the box - pretty hard when all you want is the answer to a clue that will open one of the many boxes in the tiny jail cell.
The ultimate goal is to unlock all the clues that will lead you to one golden four-digit code that holds your freedom.
The Breakout Quest has a selection of two games: The first being Prison Break, and the other, Ghostship Quest. The Prison Break warden ushers you into the cell, blindfolded and handcuffed to your co-accused. But because they are not completely ruthless, they give you a few clues when you get stuck, which is most likely to happen. Be warned though, as the South African saying goes, nothing is for mahala!
Then just next door, Ghostship Quest sees you and your crew stuck on a haunted shipwreck that will sink in one hour if you do not retrieve the Golden Orb to escape a watery grave.
The Breakout Quest recently invited representatives from various Gqeberha media houses, including the PE Express, for the launch to play. The winning team won a R2500 prize to donate to the Zanethemba Charity Foundation. Breakout Quest then decided to further donate an extra 1% of any bookings, in November, to Zanethemba Charity Foundation just in time for the festive season.
If your family and friends are adventurous, this is certainly the quest for you.
