Bishop Lavis police are on the hunt for four suspects after a mass shooting in Kalksteenfontein, Elsies River, where two people were killed and six more injured.
The incident occurred in Soetkop Street on Sunday evening at around 19:00, where the four suspects allegedly chased a man into a house and started shooting indiscriminately. Two men, aged 59 and 50, were killed.
According to Seargent Samanatha Adonis, police spokesperson, the assailants left the scene and, as they fled, they kept on firing. “Six further victims between age 14 and 59 were wounded in the shooting,” he said. “At this stage the suspects are still unknown, and an investigation is ongoing.”
