Two trucks collided on the R27 near Koeberg Power Station this morning (Tuesday 12 March).

The cause and if there are any fatalities are unclear at this point. Road users are urged to make use of alternative routes.

According to the Melkbosstrand Neighbourhood Watch group they have received reports of a serious accident between two trucks at the R27 near the Atlantis turn-off.

“Vehicles are being asked to turn around. We will try to update as more information comes through but do try to avoid the area,” the group says.

TygerBurger approached the City of Cape Town’s traffic services and still awaits comment.
