This year’s Lake Farm Centre Charity Run event will offer an action-packed morning for the whole family on Saturday, March 11.

The 28th edition will continue the tradition of a country outing for family and friends - entrants will be able to choose between a 5km walk/run, 10km road or 25km training run. This year the running events will be organized by the professional Nedbank Running Club and the 10km has been awarded EPA club league status, which will be an added incentive for club participation.

Long-term supporters of Lake Farm Centre’s popular fundraiser, include Volkswagen SA, Bukani Print, Investec, Kingfisher FM, and Coca Cola whose commitment has seen the continued success of this flagship fundraiser. Lake Farm will also be hosting a wonderful festival of over thirty country food and craft stalls on Saturday.

This year the Lake Farm Centre celebrates 63 years of providing a loving home and workplace for 90 intellectually challenged residents from the Eastern Cape.

The Lake Farm Centre Charity Run will take place at the Centre in Lakeside Road. Events start on Saturday from 05:30 with the 25km training run, followed by the 10km run at 07:30, and 5km fun run at 08:00. All finishers in the events will be given a special medal handmade by the residents.
