Using the 2019 national elections, Stellenbosch University's senior lecturer in mathematics, Bruce Bartlett, crunched the numbers and concluded that South Africa's total voter turnout stands at 49 percent. A combination of this statistic with two other sets of statistics makes the country ripe for political instability and mostly likely complete chaos.
