IEC commissioner Janet Love talks about human rights, and how elections are moments for change and not necessarily where everything changes. She invites Muhammad Hussain for a stroll in the park.
It's the day after Human Rights Day. Fresh, crisp and a tinge of the chilly Johannesburg air fills the lungs as the vice-chairperson of the IEC, Janet Love, and I stroll through the Emmarentia dog park.
Before we enter the park, Love wonders why there is a site office on the park's edge. I was here a month ago, but don't remember this either. She surmises it must be some massive undertaking.
