The Springboks have reminded us that South Africans can be the best in the world if we put our minds, bodies and souls to it, writes Adriaan Basson.

How can one not wax lyrical and bathe in the glory of Sunday night's Springbok magic at Stade de France? Gosh, it felt good to be South African when referee Ben O'Keeffe blew the final whistle after 83 gruelling minutes of what must be one of the greatest rugby Test matches of all time.

Bruised and battered by a sluggish economy, poor governance and growing service delivery problems, how incredible was it to feel on top of the world again, albeit for a bit over an hour?
