A young South African man's death in Vietnam has put a lot into perspective and confirmed that South Africa has one of the best healthcare systems in the world in terms of accessibility and cost of healthcare, writes Nthabi Nhlapo. 

A young South African man living in Vietnam recently died after an asthma attack. His inhaler failed when he tried to use it during the attack, which led to a cardiac arrest and his eventual death.

The tragic story came to light when his fiancée, Nonku Mdlalose, with whom he lived in the southeast Asian country, went on TikTok to plead for financial assistance to cover Audio Fynn's mounting hospital bills.
