This week's political "scandal" involved an analyst, a researcher and a politician that was worth about R12.5 million. As bemused as we were, Qaanitah Hunter writes that this gives legitimacy to the notion that "all politicians are the same".

Sometimes the best thing about being South African is our ability to laugh and make light of what we must endure. 

We were all sitting in the dark, shivering our buttocks off this week but were collectively both amused and outraged that an analyst was paid R12.5 million by the subject of an "unauthorised biography" he wrote.
