In light of the recent Jacob Zuma case regarding his appearance at the Zondo Commission, Serjeant at the Bar writes that it is time for serious reflection within the legal fraternity to decide whether it will be part and parcel of attempts to bring down the very system that its enjoined to uphold. 

Late last year, a number of lawyers withdrew their services from then US President Donald Trump by refusing to argue bogus electoral fraud cases before a series of federal courts.

At the time, I thought the legal profession would not conduct a similar reflective process in this country.
