The Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution (Casac) wrote to National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise in March to take account against EFF leader Julius Malema’s "unbecoming" comments about judges.
During week-long interviews of judges at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), Malema - representing the National Assembly - questioned the independence of the judiciary, and asked a judge why he had made a defamation cost order against the EFF.
