Entrepreneur and small business owner, Thabo Lengoati, was the lucky winner of this week's cash prize on Lottoland Will Change My Life. Lengoati owns a small game centre that services the Alexandra community. He is passionate about E-Sports and the business of it and wishes to share that passion with those around him.

Since winning the R10 000, Lengoati has been able to pay off the rent owed for his centre and further secure the future of his small business idea. The concept itself remains new to the community. “The hardest part for us is the fact that we are introducing a fairly new concept to the community as we operate in E-Sports,” he says. “It’s a gradual process.”

This week’s judges, Financial Expert Mapalo Makhu, Self-leadership coach Ndumi Hadebe, and Entrepreneur Siyabonga Mbuzwana made the final decision for the winning story. Photographer Phillip Hlongwane, clothing designer Erickson Elias and game centre owner Thabo Lengoati were the three contestants in the running.

The judges were initially sceptical about Lengoati because his target market was non-specific and they felt that he lacks charisma. Eventually however, Makhu and Hadebe voted in favour of the game centre owner because they felt that his business had the most potential.

“The feedback from one of the judges made me modify my strategy at the centre. I decided to immediately work on a plan to engage the primary schools near us and introduce a service offering to them. Taking sound advice from successful businesswomen who appreciate and understand the field of IT will do us good,” says this week's winner, Thabo Lengoati.
