While the wintry chills may be fading, you can still enjoy some chilling entertainment this spooky season with M-Net (DStv Channel 101). With your favourite shows returning with fresh seasons like Blacklist and Young Sheldon to blockbusters sure to keep you on the edge of your seat like Scream VI and Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves – don’t miss a minute of the entertainment as you and your friends dress up to catch up.

Sink your teeth into these shows and series:
  • Few things frighten quite like bankruptcy. Escape the financial scares and tune into Billions S7 (returning on Monday, 2 October at 21h00). Don’t miss the final season of this hit drama series. Bobby Axelrod and Chuck Rhoades have been adversaries and they’ve been allies but when the stakes escalate beyond Wall Street their game of one-upmanship threatens to topple empires as Axe returns with a score to settle.   • In the mood for mystery? Then you better tune into the riveting premiere of Blacklist S10 (returning Wednesday, 11 October at 21h00). Set 6 months after Wujing's escape from custody, Reddington mysteriously resurfaces. When a former Blacklister is found at the scene, the Task Force investigates a larger conspiracy. Watch the trailer here.
  • Nothing rings in the warmer weather like a tropical blend of crime and island. Watch as Jay Hernandez returns as Thomas Magnum on Friday, 13 October at 19h00 in season 5 of Magnum P.I. to solve crimes in Hawaii. In the action-packed premiere, Magnum and Higgins weigh the risks of pursuing a relationship. Rick juggles being a new father and running La Mariana.   • Need some drama in your life? Look no further as Molly Parker, Brian J. Smith, Stephen McHattie, Finlay Wojtak-Hissong, and Kevin Durand step up to lead the cast of Essex County (coming Monday, 16 October at 20h00). This five-part limited series based on the graphic novel by Jeff Lemire tells a redemptive tale of a family, in Essex County and shares the story of four disparate characters linked together through bloodlines. From old Uncle Lou to young Lester, to Anne the country nurse and Ken, the stoic farmer, the four lead characters ebb and flow into each other’s lives, slowly weaving connections between them that ultimately save and redeem them.
  • Turning up the heat, the Australian competitive cooking competition My Kitchen Rules premieres its thirteenth season on Monday to Friday from 11 October at 18h00 The season returns with more delicious food and drama that viewers have come to love!
  • Titans in the wild, spooky, mysterious lives of comic book teens, Riverdale is returning for its seventh and final season (returning on Saturday, 21 October at 21h00). After the gang stops Bailey's comet, they find themselves transported back to a simpler time, Riverdale 1955. Archie, Betty, and the rest of the gang are all teenagers again, back in high school, and Jughead is the only one who remembers present-day Riverdale. Watch the trailer here.
  • Few things are as awkward, gruesome, and scary as growing up. But Young Sheldon seems to be doing alright… for the most part. Tune in as the award-winning comedy series, returns Saturday, 21 October at 18h30 for a sixth season. In the season premiere, George Sr bails Meemaw and Georgie out of jail. Sheldon and Missy meet Mandy, and Mary feels unwelcome at church. Watch the trailer here.
  • Catch the blistering premiere of the sixth season of S.W.A.T. (returning on Wednesday, 25 October at 18h00), during a trip to Bangkok to train alongside Thailand's premiere S.W.A.T. teamHondo and his former military buddy stumble upon a massive heroin operation with ties to LA. Watch the trailer here.
  • M-Net is bringing out its devilish side with its brand-new international co-production, Devils Peak (premiering on Sunday, 29 October at 20h00). Be sure to tune into this limited five-part series starring Hilton Pelser and Siasanda Henna. The multi-layered crime thriller is set within one of the most beautiful yet divided cities on earth, Cape Town. Based on Deon Mayer’s best-selling novel, the series follows talented but broken detective Benny Griessel, who is tasked with tracking down righteous yet bloody vigilante serial killer Thobela Mpayipheli, whose crimes are capturing the imagination of the city. Watch the trailer here.
Don’t ghost and miss out on these thrilling blockbuster must-see films coming to M-Net Sundays:
  • Starting things off on a sweeter note, Maybe I Do (airing on Sunday, 1 October at 20h05) is a multigenerational romcom starring Diane Keaton and William H. Macy. A couple arranges for their parents to meet, but to everyone's surprise, they know each other too well. Watch the trailer here.

  • Slip into fantasy mode with Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves (airing on Sunday, 8 October at 20h05). Be sure to catch this humouristic, adventure-filled fantasy that brings the legendary roleplaying game to life. A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on a quest to retrieve a long-lost relic. Watch the trailer here.
  • Craving an elixir or mystery and action? Well save the date as Bruce Willis returns as Detective James Knight in a tense conclusion to the trilogy - Detective Knight: Independence (airing on Sunday, 15 October at 20h05). Can he save the day when a vigilante threatens to blow up the city's Fourth of July festivities? Watch the trailer here.
  • If you’re to take on and take off one of the biggest fears around - flying, then be sure to tune into Plane (airing on Sunday, 22 October at 20h05). This action thriller is piloted by Gerard Butler who tries to save his passengers from a storm by landing on a war-torn island, putting all of them in the path of dangerous rebels. Watch the trailer here.
  • Nothing screams Halloween quite like a good slasher film. And which better one to prepare for than the iconic horror franchise Scream VI (airing on Sunday, 29 October at 21h10). The dynasty continues with even more gore and death as the survivors of the Ghostface killings leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter in New York City. Watch the trailer here.
