Since 2015, the Bonds, Loans and ESG Capital Markets Africa Awards have rewarded and recognised the most innovative and ground-breaking deals from sovereign, corporate and financial institutions. The selection process involves close examination of deal size, tenor, structure, distribution and analysis of the background of the borrower and their access to financing, with extra credit for deals that demonstrate high-quality execution or innovative structuring or provide access to new pools of liquidity and new markets.
“Thank you to Bonds, Loans and ESG Capital Markets Africa for recognising the bank for these respected awards. Africa remains central to everything that we do, and winning an accolade like this reinforces our uniquely African proposition and recognises our efforts towards helping our clients realise the opportunities available on the continent,” said Brian Marshall, Head: Investment Banking, Standard Bank Group.

As Platinum and ESG Sponsors of the conference, Standard Bank showcased their capabilities in Africa’s capital markets at the continent's only pan-African debt event. The event was attended by more than 860 leading governments, corporates, investors, banks, law firms, regulators and service providers in one location. Several Standard Bank Investment Banking team members participated in key panel discussions alongside other industry experts.
