Former president Jacob Zuma's uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) could become the third-largest party in the country, outperforming the EFF, according to a new poll.

An opinion poll the Brenthurst Foundation released on Sunday put support for the MK Party at 13%, while the EFF trailed behind at 10%.

It showed a drop in support for the EFF, which secured 10.80 % of the vote in 2019 as well as a decline in support for the ANC and IFP, and showed that MKP would attract supporters from those parties.
