CIT industry seeks to band together as experts note an increase in CIT heists post hard lockdown

An organisation to regulate and protect cash-in-transit vehicles is in the works as experts in the security industry have noted a month-on-month spike in cash-in-transit related robberies post South Africa's hard lockdown.

Speaking to News24, Grant Clark, head of the Joint Operations Intelligence Centre, explained that 2019 saw a "massive decrease" in incidents thanks to partnerships between the CIT industry and law enforcement.
