In a potentially far-reaching development in the Oscar Pistorius parole saga, the Constitutional Court has sought answers about the "legal status" of multiple orders issued by the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) in relation to when his murder sentence came into effect.
Pistorius, a former Paralympic superstar, went on trial for murder after he shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in the early hours of Valentine's Day in 2013, after opening fire on her while she was standing behind his closed bedroom toilet door.
He said he thought she was an intruder.
