The former chief financial officer (CFO) of Star Schools, an institution specialising in matric rewrites, has been released on R100 000 bail following her arrest for allegedly embezzling over R12.3 million.
Priscilla Ramlakan, 51, was arrested on 4 April; followed by Seheshan Ugan Pillay, 21 on 10 April; and her husband Yasheen Ramlakan, 42, on Tuesday.
Hawks spokesperson Captain Lloyd Ramovha said for around three years from 2019 to 2021, Priscilla fraudulently transferred money from a Star Schools account into her private bank accounts.
