The Land Claims Court in Randburg, Johannesburg, has rescinded an eviction notice against an indigent family residing on a Pietermaritzburg farm owned by a former finance minister of the former IFP-run KwaZulu Bantustan.
Senzele Mhlungu, a politician-turned-businessman and farmer along with his wife, Elizabeth, own two adjacent farms, Virginia and Kwethu.
Thulani and Sylvia Sokhela had lived on the Virginia farm under two owners before the Mhlungu family acquired it in 2004.
