The "self-enriching" CEO of the National Construction Incubator (NCI) has been removed as a trustee following legal action against her at the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
Patricia Chalwa was described as having failed in her fiduciary duties when she made a series of illegal decisions.
The NCI was established and is funded by the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) in 2006. It is a public benefit organisation with the mandate to develop and mentor emerging construction companies in South Africa.
